Some of the Brownies went to Magic and Mayhem on 8th/9th June at Blackland Farm, sleeping under a big top. They were able to enjoy inflatables, magic science, archery and circus skills – all capped off with a disco in the evening.
One of the Rangers is going on a Girlguiding trip to Thailand, so this term the Brownies will be doing activities related to Thailand. They will also be making kites.
Later in the term we will visit Lynwood Park, when we hope to do a mile for MacMillan. Then, on the last day of term, we will have a campfire – there is a great campfire circle at Lynwood.
Some of the Brownies will be moving up to Guides next term and we are having a joint trip to White Spider Climbing.
I have also been to an event for Leaders at Heron’s Wey campsite near Tilford, which was about doing outdoor activities. We cooked a small cake in an orange and also a pizza on a campfire. We also did geocaching.
In September some of the Brownies will be going to Water Fun Day at Paxmead on the River Thames at Shepperton – the theme will be Fantastic Beasts.
